For Halloween, the Castle of Pompadour beckons the visitors to enter a realm of bone-chilling terror and spine-tingling thrills. As dusk falls, the castle transforms into a haunting spectacle, with its facade adorned by a mesmerizing mapping. The ghostly presence of Madame de Pompadour sets the stage for a sinister soirée of terrifying creatures. As visitors cross the threshold of the Castle, they enter a world where macabre spectacles intertwine with ghastly performances by actors, creating an otherworldly experience that will leave them trembling with both fear and delight.
Working alongside the talented team at Holymage, I contributed to the project by designing and animating bone-themed scenes, as well as creating the title for the show.
Each tableau is composed of several hundred bones that overlay on the facade, adapting to the relief to emphasize its contours. The Pompadour Castle also houses a national stud farm. As a nod to this particular aspect, I chose to integrate representations of skeleton horses into the sequence.
